What is NATA ?
The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability, which have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to Architecture.
ELIGIBILITY
Plus two science / commerce / arts stream with mathematics as a subject and having an aggregate of 50% marks.

10+3 diploma (any stream) recognized by Central / State Governments with 50% aggregate marks.
As per Council of Architecture regulations, a candidate applying to any school / college of architecture in India should have 50% marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subject and have achieved 40% score in NATA, i.e. at least 90/200, for consideration of admission into first year of 5-year B.Arch. Degree Course.
TEST CONTENT
The test is in two parts. A paper based drawing test for two hours and computer based online aesthetic sensitivity test. The test measures aptitude of the candidate through two sections – a paper based section for drawing and computer based section for aesthetic sensitivity.
NATA 2015 Registration
To apply for NATA 2015, candidates will have to follow certain steps, which are given below:
Access the official website of NATA 2015
Fill required details in application form.
Pay application fee.
Identify most convenient test center.
Approach test center along with copy of filled application form, essential documents and proof of payment.
Submit all the documents and state request for selected exam date and center.
Test center will allot receipt cum appointment voucher after registering the center and exam date request.
Colleges will grants admission on the basis of Mark list/ Score card of NATA. To attain score card before last date of registration in most of the colleges, candidates are advised to write NATA 2015 in beginning slots of exam window.
NATA 2015 Application Fee
Application fee is Rs. 1250. Candidates can pay it either by online payment gateway like Net Banking or Credit card or candidates can generate a Challan from for Rs. 1250 from any branch of ICICI Bank.
NATA 2015 Exam Pattern
Window for writing NATA 2015 will remain open for almost a month. Registration of test slot will be done on first cum first basis. NATA 2015 will be held in two parts: Paper Based Drawing and online Aesthetic Sensitivity Test

Part 1
Drawing Test: It will be a two hour, pen and paper exam, in which candidates will have to attend three questions. Test will measure candidate’s sketching skills, observational ability, sense of perspective in drawing, clarity of dimensions, understanding of scale and proportion, imagination and creativity.
Marking Scheme: Scores will be allotted by panel of three examiners who will allotted marks individually, average of which will be final marks of candidate.
Part 2
Aesthetic Sensitivity: It will be a Computer Based Exam where candidates will have to attempt 40 question. It will test candidate’s perception, imagination and observation, creativity and communication along with architectural awareness and comprise. This section is computer adaptive i.e after each correct answer, difficulty level of next question will be higher. Where as, if candidate marks wrong answer, level of difficulty for preceding question will be lower.
Marking Scheme: As this section is computer adaptive, candidate scores will depend of number of correct answers marked in given time period. Scores will be calculated via mathematical process,which will qualitatively study properties of questions, entrant’s performance in due duration and number of questions answered.
NATA 2015 Result (Scores Card / Marks List)
Result of NATA 2015 will be released as score card or marks list. It will be uploaded in the official website, 4 days after test day. NATA 2015 score card will be valid for two years and candidates may download and print it for applying in various colleges for admission in undergraduate B.Arch course. www.nata.in
To receive admission in any college or institution, candidate must attain 40% in NATA 2015
Documents Required to Write NATA 2015
Candidates must bring below listed item to NATA test center on the day of exam.
Appointment Voucher, without it candidates will be forbidden from writing NATA 2015.
Identification Proof, as stated in Appointment Voucher.
4 sharpened soft-lead, B2 or BH, pencil with eraser and sharpener.
Water/ Pastels/ Poster Colour Set with brushes and palette etc.
Geometry Box
Blue and Black Ink pens.
NATA 2015 Repeating Procedure
Candidates can attempt NATA 2015 as many times as they wish but for writing exam each time, candidates will have to make anew registration. Marks sheet will states candidates marks in previous attempts and recent one as well.
It is advised that candidates should appear more than once, either when they are sure that scores will increase in next attempt or when the scores obtained are too less. Candidates will be able to register for another attempt only after the scores of first attempt have been issued.
NATA 2015 Important Points to Remember
Details filled in application form must be correct and valid.
Candidates have a valid ID, as mentioned in appointment voucher.
Candidates must register withing due time period.
Candidates should reach test center at least half and hour before the exam and must carry required documents with him and her.
No item essential to write NATA 2015 will be provided by the center. Candidates must carry their own set of everything required.
Once appointment voucher is issued no alteration, like name change, will be done.
If invigilator in-charge question ID proof of candidate, then candidate must produce additional ID proof.
